I am the Beneficiary/Ckaimant. I submitted death claim -claimant's statement for $500 to Union National Life Ins. Co (Kemper Home Service Companies) is Parent Co.
Death occured 9/26/16. Police Number 7010025409 Contacted Local Agent is Pete Pearce 1080 River Oaks Dr-Suite A210 Flowood, MS 39232 601-500-0088.
I advised agent the death certificate had not received. He requested me to send a copy of the Obituary. I did and adived when I received the death certicate I would send it.
The Funeral Home gave me Death Claim-Claimant's Statement form to complete and send to Union National I sent 11/10/16 and never heard back from them.
The death certicate came in 12/01/16 and I sent it, along witha copy of the obituary. I called them on 12/12 and they claim the form sent was not the correct one and would mail the correct one to me.
I called Union National12/27/16 on hold for 22 minutes then someone named Mark came on line and said they were busy and asked for the policy number, my name and phone number and said someone would call me back within 24 hours.
I did not receive a call back. I called back on 12/29/16 and was advised they did not receive the death claim -claimant statement from me I told them I never recieved it again told they would send another one.
Today 1/4/17 I stilkl have not received it, I called National Union today, Someone; picked up and said they would transfer me to customer service and of course put on hold , held for 20 mins.
It appears this company does not intend to pay claim and are playing games something need to be done about this ASAP.
