Unique Auto Works and Glass Repair Hudson, FL. Very rude. Bad customer service. Installed a transmission for $1200, not happy with the purchase, and already starting to have trouble with it. When approached about the issues by my wife, he told her she didn't know a lot about cars because she was a woman, and then proceeded to tell her he didn't care, didn't want to listen to her rambling, and hung up on her. He finally did come out to the house to take a look, and then said it wasn't his fault or responsibility and left within 10 minutes. Bill,

First and foremost, I have reported you and your business to the BBB and to the State of Florida, City of Pinellas County, and Department of Justice and Consumer Affairs. The reason being is that I do not believe you are licensed to do business to begin with, period. Secondly, I have added an update to my reports disclosing your rebuttal where you clearly do not respect your customer's privacy and have publicly admitted to being open and willing to provide your customer's physical address and contact information to those who request it. This is a BIG NO NO. Ask your lawyer. This is not going to look good for you in the long run, I promise you that. We have already been contacted by a lawyer thanks to this report who has expressed interest in representing us in a case against you and your business.

You attempted to do the exact same thing you threatened to sue us for, defamation of character. You have not issued ONE SINGLE APOLOGY, and instead have attempted a smear campaign of your own against us. It is truly sad, and pathetic. Bill, Issue an Apology and try to resolve this situation, or I guarantee you it will become worse and worse for your reputation. You will not bully us or threaten us into stopping from telling people the truth about the way you do business, with that said, Until we see a formal apology from you and an attempt to resolve this situation, Good luck to you and have a wonderful day.

This is in response to Bill (The Owner)'s rebuttal to this report above. I'm going to go over and correct a ton of lies and inaccurate information from your response with the actual truth.

First off, the car she bought was $1100, not $500. That is lie #1. You told her within the first 5-10 minutes of meeting her that you found a transmission, and the price was $700. So, in regards to you saying how hard it was to find a transmission, that is lie #2.  You told her the transmission had 40,000 miles, but in your rebuttal, you give a completely different number, this is lie #3. Also, you told her that the transmission was from a vehicle that caught fire. Then her friends told her not to take a transmission like that because it could have heat damage. You then told her the fire was only in the back of the car, so not to worry. This could possibly explain why the transmission is having issues already.

You never let her see her old, damaged transmission. You said you traded it in for the core fee of $100, and did not give that back to her, but instead you said that it went towards the cost of the transmission. It would have been nice for you to let her see it, since your other customer who responded to this report claims he was able to see his old damaged parts. When I questioned the fact of why I did not receive the $100 for my old transmission, or be able to see it at all, he just responded with the fact that I am not capable of understanding how this works, and immediately became frustrated and defensive.

While we are rolling along here, Bill, are you licensed, insured, and registered to do this type of business in the State of Florida? If so, can you please provide your license number, or any other information confirming that your business is registered and legally able to operate in the State of Florida?

I also hope people see now what type of business owner this is. This is not a business owner that focuses on resolving complaints or taking care of customer issues, oh no. This is a business owner that instead makes hurtful remarks about a woman being foreign, and false statements about her only being married to her husband so that she can get her papers. This is a business owner who is on a high horse, and thinks everyone is below him, he is never wrong, everyone else is wrong. Sir, I am here to tell you, you are wrong.

Your way of doing business is not going to get you very far at all. Each time you respond with a load of BS to this report, it just strengthens it's position in Google. I also want to know why you are even responding to this report, since supposedly your lawyer is going to have this and other reviews online taken down within days. At least that's what you had said just a couple of days ago when you found out about this.

No more lies Bill. An apology is in order, and you need to fix this mess. Until then, these reviews and this report will only continue to cause your business damage. Damage that you deserve for not caring about customer concerns, and only caring about being aggressive and seeking revenge against your customers.

P.S. - My wife never told you that the transmission was leaking fluid, she just said the car was leaking oil of some sort, and based on what Goodyear had told her, it was leaking due to a missing part that was supposed to be put on the transmission.

P.S.S. - The transmission is slipping. High quality transmission.

  this young lady brought her car into me and she had a 500 dollar hyundai accent she wanted me to put a transmission in. so she said she would have 1100 hundred dollars for the job. so i started looking around for a transmission. well come to find out it is a  very hard transmission to find and very expensive used. so i found one and it was out of a car that had 17000 originals from a friend of mind but it was 800 plus a hundred dollar deposit which every junk yard charges. so i took the old tranny down to them so i didnt get charged a deposit  and got it for 800 and installed it for 300 which i never charge that much was being nice she said and started getting i rate because i didnt give her the deposit for the tranny which she didnt understand it was applied to the toal of the tranny. so i knew she was gonna be a m then on looking foir anproblem froy excuse to get back at me so 3 months later get a call that she took it to a goodyear and they said i left a part off which was a cover for the flywheel and anybody could have left that part off at any time on this 500 dollar car and she also complained it was leaking tranny fluid so when i get down there she tells me it is oil that leaking and  anybody knows that oil and tranny fluid are two different things so i went there she started hollaring at me i didnt fix her car right cause she had a oil leak so i told her that the two had nothing to do with each other so i didnt want to waiste anymore time listening to her telling what a crappy mechanic i am and why i didnt do my job. not gonna fix a oil leak for free when i did the tranny so now she proceeds to smear my name and my company all over the internet thru her husband she is trying to get papers thru cause she from another country) to stay in this country if you look his name up chris impact llc you will see what type of person he is cause he all over the internet scamming people so i feel like they are the scammer and they should be on here instead of me it is the same old scam  you fixed my brakes and my radio doesnt work i belive in carma and this will be taken care if she had a problem with the tranny would gladly fix but dont know what to fix if its working properly and she also said if i fix the promblem that all this spearing will go away sounds like blackmale to me  Bill Unique auto works

I am glad that you had a positive experience, and yes, I do see that 1-2 other positive reviews do exist online for this Unique Autoworks and Glass Repair business, but we can only provide OUR experience with this mechanic. The main issue was just the bad customer service. It was horrible. Rude, Unprofessional, Threatening, Mean. Once this business found out about our report and honest reviews we had posted about their business, we were immediately threatened to be sued. In their words... They have more money than us, so they will sue us and be $10,000 richer. We have the texts and voicemails to prove this from Bill, who I assume is the owner. He did not once concern himself with trying to RESOLVE the issues or apologize to us at least for being rude. All he did was just threaten and bully, that's it. He has brought my wife to tears with his aggressive communication with her. We have informed them NUMEROUS times so far that we will remove the reviews and this report once they are ready to resolve the issue, but, as I stated above, they only respond with "Keep it up." "See you in court." and more threats. This business is just totally unprofessional, and it's obvious that they don't give a d**n about their customers based on how they respond.

Personally, I would also not doubt that you were sent here by Bill or an employee of his business on purpose to write a rebuttal to try and reverse any potential damage that may take place against Bill or Unique autoworks and glass repair's business based on this report.

I personally have had Bill work on both my vehicles and had outstanding work on both my vehicles. He did two big jobs one for my Honda and one for my Lexus. He provided great rates and even when the job might have taken a little longer than originally quoted due to part he had to get from the dealership he did not add an additional charges to the estimate he orginally provided. He dropped me off of work and also dropped the car off at my job when the work was complete. He beat all other estimates provided by other mechanics. He changed my water pump,timing belt, compressor, 02 sensors, and valve seals. Bill is truly a mechanic who can be trusted and he does stand behind his work. He even keeps the damaged parts and will allow you to take a look at them before he discards of them. But you do not have to take my word for it just due the research yourself and there are plenty of other positive reviews. Oh yeah did I forgot to mention I let him work on my Lexus. Do you think anybody with an expensive vehicle would let an incompetent mechanic ever touch their vehicle? I do not think so.
