I can't believe respectable car dealerships would recommend this place to anyone or give people a heads up of what they are going to have to put up with. After I had first bought the car, i had gotten several calls from United Auto Credit regarding info that they still needed about the car for my file and each time would mention that there was no grace period with payments, and that they would call only the first month to check on payment. Which I guess was fine at that point, though on my payment schedule there is a section saying to include 10 dollars if so many days late. So I was called on my cell phone and since I didn't answer was called at work the day before my 1st payment was due. I told him I couldn't understand why he was calling if its not even the due date yet. He stated that this was just procedure for the first month and that it shouldn't happen again, but that payments could not be late or they would start the repossession process that day! I asked about the payment schedule and why it has on there to include 10 if it is late, and he said to ignore that and to know that all payments are late if not in the office the day it is due. So then I made sure I dropped off my payment that day or mail it early.

One month I got a call saying they haven't received my payment, and i told them I mailed it out over the weekend and it should be there today....or the next day. I happened to be home that day because I had the flu. The lady on the phone then asked why I would send a payment over the weekend and chance that it wouldn't get there on time, and that if it wasn't in their mail today then i would have to go there and drop off another check and they would just "throw out" my other payment. This went on and on back and forth for about 10 minutes. Needless to say I wasn't about to go out with the flu just to make a payment that I already sent in. So I hung up on her. She called me back about 30 minutes later to ask what time I was coming in to drop off a check!! I asked for her supervisor and she said that there wasn't one available to talk to and that i should just come in and make my payment, and that they can't just go by me telling them that my payment is in the mail because it probably isn't. So I told her that once her mail comes in and if the payment ISN'T there....then she can call me back. I hadn't heard from, so I called back later in the afternoon and asked for her and she was conveniently unavailable, and then asked the person on the phone if my payment had come in, and it did. I still have my loan with them, but have gotten a lot of refinance options and am going to change to one of them.

ask your employer if anyone has recently submitted for proof of employment thru your HR department. Most companies have a policy in place where the creditor must submit a release signed by the consumer before any information is released. I did not work in your branch of UACC, but our branch had an unwritten(?) policy of forging these documents and submitting to employers, all without the permission or actual signature of the debtor, just a cut and paste from the original contract or credit application. I do not know if this is a company policy across the board but this was done frequently where I worked by persons other than myself. If your employer still has a copy of this verification, compare it to the signature on your credit app or loan contract and note the striking similarity. Note the board with your answer if you don't mind. Thanks!
