Slime-balls & slow prossessing:

On March 21, 2002, a package I had sent to my daughter in law by United Parcel Services was sent back. I called the call center and found out the UPS driver had delivered the package to the wrong address.

I was told I would have to pay 27.00 more dollars to re-send the package. At this point I was very upset. On March 22, 2002, I called the call center again and asked to file a complaint.

I did not feel I should have to pay for this package to be re-shipped since the driver was clearly at fault. The customer service representive I spoke with was extremely RUDE. I then asked to speak to her supervisor, but was refused, so I hung up the phone.

Immediately, my phone rang back and it was the same UPS rep. She proceeded to curse me out. We hung up and I called UPS back and this time I spoke to a UPS supervisor by the name of Veronica Bennett. Ms. Bennett assured me that she would handle the situation, and said I would get reimbursed for my shipping fee.

At this point, I was satisfied. I went on with the rest of my day without another thought to this rude UPS employee. At 6:02 on that evening of March 22, 2002, my phone rang. It was the same biligerent, ignorant, UPS employee that had gotten rude with me earlier. She threatened to blow my home up, to kill me and my family, to send anthrax via UPS to me.

These threats went on for 25 minutes. Thankfully, I had the good sense to record the whole conversation. I have written to Mr. Tom McCauley in Atlanta, GA. I sent him a copy of the tape and a copy of the police report. I also spoke to Ms. Nancy West at the Corporate office in San Antonio, Texas, and I spoke with a Mr. Joe Brannon (who is an independant) on Friday April 25th, 2002 as well.

Mr Brannon said UPS had investigated this situation and knows who the person is that is terrorizing my family, but not to worry because she was just mad. HELLO! Sounds like she has mental problems, but because UPS won't take responsibility for theirp employees actions, my family is terrorized.

I will never again use United Parcel Services or any of their affiliates. This company SUCKS! I would love to get my story on all public news.

1) write a letter to the editor of you local news paper,most likely will end up in the local opinion page. or.. 2) call you local news station like abc news, i am sure they have a local aphilliate, tell them you have a story for them and you got the recorded message to prove it. if you go with option #2 you might get followup stories from other stations.. i'd love to here this on the 6 ok news :)
