I own a small retail service company and saw an ad for United Payment Services on facebook allowing small companies to economically accept credit cards using a mobile phone.  It all sounded very simple and easy to use so I signed our company up for it.

Although we were dealing with United Payment Services, we received our equipment from their vendor, Roam Pay.  The equipment DOES NOT WORK properly with Blackberry phones.  Upon loading the app from Roam Pay my Blackberry refused to sync with my computer and I literally spent several hours on the phone with Roam Pay and my phone carrier and my tech guy ($$$) to just get my phone working properly.

I notified United Payment Services that their service did not work as stated and they were very rude and aggressive and their only suggestion was to cancel the contract and pay an early termination fee of $399. 

Thankfully I insisted on only only signed up for a 3 month contract so I can just pay the three months of stated and hidden charges and end my dealings with this company. 

Their monthly sales pitch of about $16 per month is laughable.  With their hidden charges the monthly bills (without doing any credit card transactions) have been $48 - $90.  Their customer service person, Jeanette, has hung up on me several times and is very smug.  I think she enjoys telling people that they have no alternatives other than to cancel and pay the termination fee.  Truly a bad experience haiving to deal with her and good luck trying to get a pay grade above her.  

Buyer beware.  I knew when they told me the equipment was $39.99 but I was also charged with their shipping and handling charge of $35.00 that I should have run in the other direction.  Lesson learned.  I hope thay don't take your money also.
