United Services Phone Scam Washington Virginia
I received a phone call at work from a man with a heavy accent claiming he was a representative for the US Government (United Services) and had a large sum of money that he needed to transfer to me. Typical "may I have your checking account number" type scam.
He claimed his name was "Nick Williams" and gave me their phone number (703-373-6049, based out of Washington, VA) and also offered a web address, although I couldn't understand it.
I asked him to not call me again and hung up. He called back several times harassing me, telling me that I "would listen to him" and making me feel threatened by reciting my home address. This continued until I had a male co-worker answer the phone and ask him not to call anymore.
