Contact Federal Trade Commission and report them. Make sure you take your name and Numbers off all calling Lists by putting your number on the Do Not Call List. After thirty Days they can be fined. It is Harrassment and It is Illegal. You can also Download Form 3949A from Internal Revenue Service, fill it out and make a copy, Then send it to IRS Certified Mail. They will go through their records and sometimes these collectors are collecting information to steal your identity! Also Contact the United States Postal Inspectors and report them. They will go away. Good Luck!

I used to work for the company above - universal fidelity lp - in houston tx, there are a few bad apples in the bunch as there are in every career you go. The reason you may have been getting this calls is due to an automatic dialer. It takes a full 24-48 hours to get the number completly off the system. I have myself taken out numbers that were wrong only to have them come up again a few hours later. It is frustrating for us as well as for the person getting called. It is not necessarily harrassment if we honestly made a mistake, The reason the person probably asked if you were 2 different people is maybe they were given the number from them and thats the name in which the account and number is under - THERE ARE LIARS OUT THERE WHO DONT WANT TO PAY THEIR BILLS!!! THEY WILL GIVE OUT FALSE INFO TO KEEP FROM PAYING THEIR BILLS. We have a job to do and skip tracing is the only way we find out if the info we have is true and correct. If we have spoken to the consumer @ that number before and now all of a sudden it is wrong... we are keeping the number on the account.... if the consumer gave us the number and said to call... we are going to continue to call until we speak to consumer... but we will take the number out if it should prove to be the wrong number. we are all human... and i am most certainly not a leech as you call it.... there is a better part of being a bill collector... like when someone doesnt know how to deal with their debts or even where to begin thats where we come in handy. I will help out where i can give free advice and such.... its not really my fault if you dont want to listen.. i mean that is kinda the reason youre in the mess youre in to begin with.... but i dont appreciate being called a leech....
