Universal, universal, Universal Fun Pass universal Studios vacation package scam!! Atlanta Georgia
I received a phone call earlier today around 3:00 pm. The lady on the phone "Felicia" said that I had won a trip to Universal Studios and Orlando Florida as well as Cancun Mexico.
These people try to pass themselves off as Universal Studios reps when inactuality they have absoluely nothing to do with Universal Studios at all. They are not affiliated with them in any way shape or form.
I am always very skeptical about these things but I thought well I let her speak. She goes on to tell me that they knew I had good standing with VISA or something to this effect. Right then I knew it was a scam because I don't eevn own a VISA card.
I decided to let the idiot go on and make fool of herself and played it off like I was happy to win the trip. The only thing that urks me is they actually had my address and email address as well.
Then they proceeded to tell me that they need $249.00 dollars for a registration fee in order to claim the prize. This guy "Tony" gets on the line as the supposed surpervisor and gives me a bogus confirmation number and all I have to do is make the payment of $249.00 each for both my husband and I totalling $498.00. That was when I hung up the phone becasue he started getting pushy with me.
The Felicia lady I spoke to was very charming and I even told her how skeptical I was about this. I can really see how people get caught up in these scams. She even told me about her family...but I'm sure that was all a lie too! These people are really unbelievable I mean how can they sleep at night knowing they are scamming poeple like this!!
Well anyway...score for me becasue they didn't get a dime from me!!
