Where do I begin. I am glad I found this site to see that I am not alone! First I want to speak about the fact that I have evidence that I was discriminated against after revealing in my Cultural Diversity Class what nationality I am. The teacher argued with me about how to identify myself and where I came from. After the argument I was ignored. When I had to ask questions about my final I was ignored and he graded me unfairly. I was also marked off for things that I should not have been marked off for on my final. When I asked for help with my final, I wrote him at the school email, his personal email, AND I even called him. No response. I filed a formal complaint with the University and they did nothing about it, but were quick to send me a letter in the mail scolding me for using the word horny in one of my previous courses!

Next ... I KNEW something was wrong with the whole deal with paying for these classes. I am on financial aid. You have to maintain a certain GPA to stay on financial aid. I have done very well in my classes and have been a good student. Without having to explain too much right now to prevent this from being so long, to make a long story short I feel that I have been given lower grades than earned to bring down my GPA, so that I would have to pay out of pocket expenses like I have seen in many other reports here. It really seemed as if points were not added up correctly.

I too have been switched up on many times with academic counselors (and financial counselors). One will say one thing and the next one will say something different. I was told initially that my course (AA in Business) would cost me $7,600. I recently found out that I am going to owe about $28,000! BELIEVE ME ... I would NOT have put myself in that much debt to take these classes. I was FURIOUS with my financial counselor when I told him this. When I told him what was told to me before he brushed me off! Come to think of it, I never received any papers in the beginning of my classes to state what was expected of me financially. I was rushed into starting too. It all happened so fast.
