Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I am a previous employee of Uniway and a member of management. This company is passing out letters that has falsified advertisements and odds printed upon them. There is no winning key for the $25000 home furnishing makeover. The winning key will be given to a mwmber of Mr.Mark Henry's in-laws within 18 months of the contests beginning to keep suspiscion from arising. This is what has happened with every contest used to lure in unsuspecting victims to force them into the purchase of a $1700 to $2500 membership that 90% of the members only use 2 to 3 times in their life.

PLEASE do not respond to their telemarketing calls or their letters they make fun of the stiffs and idiots that come in for three reasons- curiosity or greed or stupidity. Any reporter, police officer or laywer who reads this and would like to make a name for themselves should investigate this fraudulent contest, false advertisement, illegal telemarketing practices and illegal phone harrassment.

The rebuttal titled Uniway of SW GA, in my book, ROCKS! Umm, yeah! That was written by a then current employee in the purchasing dept and the owner of Uniway. That car was given away over 2 years later and that family sold it. However, the statement about it being giving to Mark Henry's in-laws is not true. He will give it away to some lucky winner but of course it will be after he has exhausted it as far as he can. The scam is not so much the telemarketing promotions they have going. It's after you become a member and try to order things. That's where you get ripped a new one!

I will like to express my satisfaction with the Uniway of Southwest, GA in Columbus. Allow me to start by saying that I have been a happy member for a little over 15 years. My wife and I were curious about the company so we walked in and asked what they were all about; they gave us an appointment in two hours and so on. Yes, I did pay my $899.00 membership fee up front and in cash, and up to this day I happily pay my $25.00 renewals with no regrets. In this company I have saved thousands and thousands of dollars since the construction of my home in 1989, new furniture, including a huge savings of more than $6,000.00 on my recent and brand new Dodge Ram. I really wish we had gotten a call so we could have entered there raffles. Last year sometime in February or March (I can't recall the exact date) there was a drawing for a brand new car. My wife and I were present shopping. In the commotion we saw lots of people and a little girl taking out one peace of paper of thousands out of a big rounder. Minutes after on the speaker phone all over the store the owner talked to the winners (God Bless Them). They were non-members (as we were told) and obviously in great need of a car. We could hear the screaming over the speakers and we sensed that they were surprised, of course. All we heard was crying and lots of thank you. In no time the couple and their kids showed up at the store to claim the prize, they couldn't believe when they walked away with the key a drove away crying in a brand new car. Back to the beginning years ago when I joined, I have read the contract along with my wife before signing anything I asked many questions and was pleased with all the answers to my concerns, considering that both my wife and I are skeptics. I was not obligated to join, in fact, the sales person was clear by telling us that it was a one time offer (a little pressure, fine). He also mentioned that we had 72 hours to cancel our membership and it was in writing (proof that I still got it in my power). We took a chance and never have felt so satisfied with the program. We knew that they were no savings on some items, we asked about them, but they were small items that we could have gotten in any cheap store along with other items that were not so important to us. All we cared about was savings in materials for our home. We have saved more than $20,000.00 in flooring, tiles, carpet, chimney, cabinets, etc. Last but not least, I can only speak about MY experience with this company. My biggest and most amazing story was two weeks before Christmas. My wife had ordered a sofa bed from one of their thousands of selections. It was running somewhat late because of the holiday season and the truck was not going to be on time, we needed the sofa for a family reunion, needless to say a place for someone to sleep. We called and asked for the owner to help in that matter, he said he will try whatever he could to help us but he could not promise anything. This gentleman, with due respect, was kind enough to ask one of his employees to drive all the way to North Carolina to pick up our furnisher and surprised us at our door step. If this is not good service and satisfaction, then I don't know what else to say. My recommendation to some people is to read before signing. This program may not serve the purpose for everyone, but it sure did for us. Truly Satisfied, Christian and, Wife Loyal Members since 1989
