Georgia Uniway Misrepresented product availability, salesman disinterested .....

We have tried to utilize our Uniway membership for 5 years. Without exception, every item we have inquired about has either not been available, or been available elsewhere cheaper. PLUS, when we inquire about an item, it takes several weeks to get a response from a rep, and usually only after a couple of follow-up calls from us. As of this date, we would have to save $1000.00 to break even on our membership costs.

My last outing to the Uniway showroom in Valdosta resulted in a salesman actually yelling at me in the parking lot! I arrived about 15 minutes before the store was suppoed to close and found a "We're Closed" sign on the door. (Store hours were posted right beside the sign). I knocked and was allowed in, but the salesman was very rude and obviously ready to leave. He was not helpful and kept reminding me that they were about to close. When I couldn't get help, I walked out. The rep left at the same time, and I told him that I did not appreciate the way he had treated me. He yelled at me, "After 5, you're on MY time." (It was not yet even 5 o'clock).

I told him that I was going to let his manager know about his uncaring attitude, and he laughed at me! He knew, as I found out later, that there would be no repricussion. Uniway salespeople are so hard to find that it seems store managers won't fire them.

Uniway claims to make no money from my use if their service, and what that really means is that now that Uniway has my money, they don't care if I ever use their service.
