Uptown Emergency Room Medicare and billing fraud Dallas Texas
This place has gone bankrupt once already. Out of desperation to keep the doors open they began seeing Medicare and Medicaid patients, which is illegal to do and often leaves the patient with an outrages bill. They've even registered staff as patients to artificially inflate numbers to attract buyers and investors. They've began handing out narcotics to drug seeking patients that are already blacklisted from other facilities. The equipment is not up to code and the employees are not trained to operate them, thus many results come out inaccurate.They have a CT machine that does not operate properly due to a needed part costing 10k, this puts the patient at risk due to incorrect or insufficient readings. They're under investigation by the EOC for cutting staff to save money, and then denyinf their unemployment benefits to avoid premiums. A 90% service connected veteran was forced to work 24-36 hour shifts, miss vital appointments, and was denied 155 hours of earned vacation time.
