Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
It is time for single American taxpayers to take a stand. For decades those of us who elect not to have a family have provided subsidies for those that do.

From larger, often double or more, tax breaks and incentives to the poorly contrived "earned income credit" we have simply become third party payers for the support of those with families.

How many times have you, as a single taxpayer, had to endure the glee spouted by a colleague, earning the exact wage for the same job, in regard to his several thousand dollar EIC refund on income that he payed NO wage witholding? Where does this refund come from? The money fairy? NO. It comes from the income we as single taxpayers pay in exorbitant rates.

It is not only EIC. It also involves larger deductions and tax credits for health insurance, those educating their children etc. etc. etc. This is on top of the majority of us paying a much higher contribution to employer health insurance plans because we are single. While it may appear the family rate is higher, divide the contribution among the average family size of 3-4 people and you will quickly see you are paying more.

Listen Joe and Jill Family. I did not elect to marry or have 2.5 children. I should not have to subsidize your income because you did so. If I elect to drive a Jaguar are you going to help make the payment?

It is time we forced the government to recognize that we demand to be treated fairly. If someone chooses to have a family then they should be prepared to make whatever sacrifices are required to support that family on THEIR OWN.

the baby welfare factories out there that get $600 per child per month to stay home, watch Oprah, and pump out recipients. That is our money also but no one is complaining or doing anything about it.

Heard a discussion on bush's medical insurance propal of last night. What is proposed is that they're gonna TAX your company provided medical insurance. That's right. IF you receive medical insurance provided to you, free of charge, from your company, you're gonna have to pay taxes on those benefits. With the money they receive from those taxes, they'll be able to provide free or low cost medical care for those folks who don't have it now. Oh what a wonder country we live in. Kind of like my frickin phone bill. The actual phone bill is around $10. But, with all the taxes(fees) thrown in and my involuntary contribution to those "poor" people who can't afford to have a phone, it comes to around $32 per month. Appox. $9 goes to "assist" those less fortunate. It's their God given right to have a phone. A few years back I got picked up by the local EMS ambulance and got a bill for $250. When I asked them how they came to the $250 figure, they told me for every five runs they made, they only got paid for ONE. That EIC is a big scam here in town. All the tax places go out and solicit the "less fortunate" with a bunch of kids. They seldom if ever work but receive a hugh amount of money under the EIC rules. What's wrong with a system, when people get "back" money they never paid into the system in the first place, just because the have a bunch of kids? When's it gonna stop? I wouldn't be too worried about bush's proposal though. He did this the last time to get elected by promising a bunch of items he didn't deliver on. He's just trying to beat the demos at their game.

you know, i somewhat take offence to this. i am married and i have kids, but that does not mean that everyone married with children is intitled to the EIC. not everyone that is married and has children have not withholding on thier pay checks. we made around $20 thousand more than the eic level state you have to make below in order to receive it, but we are still getting back over $4000 because we payed in over $5000 in federal alone $2000 in state and local tax and god knows how much in medicare. so if you want a bigger refund, or a refund at all (which is kinda looking like why you are upset here) then have them withhold more money from your paycheck every pay day. the eic is designed to help people with the children get a break because they are paying out more during the year for clothes, food, schooling ect. ect. go ahead and dog me if you want i personally don't care, like i state earlier i don't get the eic because we make too much but we still have a heft amount taken out every payday.
