First off, I am a former agent that initially believed in what I thought was a good company and insurance plan.  After a couple of years and several changes, I am now finding out that this is a major scam.  Ever since the take over of US Health Group by Troy McQuagge the company has gone straight to the gutter.

The underwriting is so riduculous that as an agent it is near impossible to make a living as a "captive" agent in this organization.  The plans do not cover anything until you move into the temporary "Premier Med" then there is a $3000 deductible that has to be met.  After you move into this part of the plan you can only stay until you are eligable to move into an Obamacare plan during open enrollment. Once that happens they send you off to another company proving they do not want to pay anything.

One of the biggest complaints I found is the ridiculous amount they pay on wellness exams.  If you can't use the insurance for wellness and can't keep it for major claims why bother with it.  As bad as I do not like Obamacare I can not wait to see the day that this company is finally finished.  I am proud to say that I have recently met with all of my past clients with this company that are still around to help them find the best options for them and their families.  I am sorry that I was even remotely associated with this company.

I was also an agent for USHA.  It is a type of brainwash company.  It makes good agents look bad.  I was only there for a year and soon discovered that the higher ups got on ACA plans to have their kids because they said it was better for them but then wanted us to sell the plan to customers.  When agents would ask about the subsidy issues with ACA they would tell us to tell customers to not worry about it, that they could get an exemption whether it was true or not.  Agents sell the plans and when customers find out what they really have the fall off the books.  The meetings always go over these super high numbers that the company has generated but forget to put in the part of those who cancel...which adjusts the numbers quite a lot.

I am an honest agent and am very glad I no longer am associated with this type of company.  Shame on them!
