US Softs Online shopsoftsonline Couterfeit Software - total scam Internet
Ordered Microsoft Office Professional 2007. Package arrived 1 week later and looked authentic. However, after numerous attempts to install without success and further investigation, it was discovered that what was received was a fake copy.
The 2 disks included in the package have peel off labels on them rather than the embedded printing on genuine Microsoft disks. Also, the microprinting on the Certificate of Authenticity is different wording than what is on the genuine product.
The vendor was contacted vial email as that was the only option available. After numerous emails back and forth in which the seller repeatedly sent new Product Keys to try but ignored the issue of the software not being genuine, the seller has stopped responding at all.
Since payment was made with a credit card via Paypal I tried filing a Paypal claim. It was rejected since Paypal does not cover "complaints about the attributes or quality of goods received". I have since filed a claim with VISA and am awaiting their decision.
In addition, the software was shipped on an International Express Mail Waybill, and the product description is listed as "gift" with a value of $10. Since the package went through customs, and eventually was delivered via the United States Post Office this transaction may involve both Customs and Postal fraud.
Shipper on the waybill was listed as WangShuCai, company Chang Cheng GongMao, address 315# ChaoYang BeiDaJie BaoDing China. Transaction on credit card statement and Paypal shows xujinlin100, so no clue who or what company we are actuallly dealing with.
Bottom line is product was ordered and paid for, but not received and seller is not replying.
