Sounds to me like your saying truck drivers are going to be loading and unloading trailers more than they have in the past.Which has got to be the best joke I have heard in a long time. The way I see it if you ordered it you need to get it off the truck and your not using me so you don't have to hire people to unload your product. Not to mention that anyone that expects a driver to unload a trailer after driving 11 hours to get there has no idea that Lincoln freed the slaves.I would agree with part of the statement,if you can't lift 45 pounds, how do you even get in the truck?
Or did I have this all wrong and you where suggesting that the trucking industry won't hire fat folks?
Either way you are contributing to the driver shortage.

Ok no the position might not have involved lifting but Truck driving is no longer for the fat, lazy or out of shape people. You will have to pass a physical, which does involve lifting 65lbs for OTR drivers and 45lbs for dedicated drivers. with the new rules of the CSA 2010 you will slowly but surely start seeing less and less morbidly obiese drivers and unhealthy drivers all together. I am in no way saying thats you, but if you cant lift 45lbs less than a large bag of dog food.... then ummm... yeah.
