I had been in talks with a recruiter from US Xpress for several months now. Prior to me being sent to the Dallas area orientation offices, I was told that my MVR was ran and that I was hired. I used my personal car and gas to drive up to Dallas from Houston. This morning, I was called into the office to speak to a manager on the phone. I was told that due to a past speeding ticket (which they knew about and still said that I would be fine for hiring), I was no longer allowed to continue with the orientation process and the hiring process was stopped at that point. US Xpress is a company that lures drivers in with fancy talk about benefits and good loads, but definitely found an excuse not to hire me. DO NOT waste your time going to their orientations. I was told to quit my job that I had been with for almost a year now because I was told that I was hired by US Xpress. I am now unemployed due to US Xpress's antics and probably am not eligible for rehire with my past company that I was with for nearly a year because US Xpress wanted me to give such short notice. They should have told me that the ticket was an issue, instead of being dishonest (in my opinion) and saying it was fine. Stay far, far away from this unethical company!
