this company continues fraudulent practices and extortion.
We had 1 BR Local move from Leesburg, VA to Fairfax,
VA. Was charged $800 midway through the move to stop at a storage
facility.
They did not load a single item onto the truck for 7 hours, and
overwrapped every item to a ridiculous extent. In addition, they ignored our requests to NOT wrap things. We have photos of this. We were actually nice enough to offer furniture to give away to the driver, Oscar, who accepted this offer, and proceeded to wrap it up anyways.
Then they held our all of our posessions ransom upon delivery to the new
place in Fairfax, VA. They demanded an additional $2300 to unload the
truck or else they would take our things to storage and auction if we
did not pay. This is after already paying $800 for a LOCAL move.
We called the police and they said there was nothing they could do but
pay an additional $1500 so that they would unload the truck. We were
forced to pay $1500, and an addtional $400 (they charged both these
amounts without authorization) just to get our stuff.
On top of this nightmare, they also did NOT unload the truck and
demanded that we had one hour to unload it AFTER being extored for $2300
which was paid, my brother, girlfriend, her mother father, my friend
and his girlfriend unloaded everything while they sat and watch us do
their job.
Unbelievable that we would have to unload the truck ourselves after paying them $2300 for a local move!
In addition the manager Joseph was very disrespectful towards my
girlfriend and was very rude and unprofessional to me and her.
Basically would hang up the phone on us, call us names, threaten us, and even threaten to call our bosses? They also do not return emails, or phone calls. Joseph is/was extremely rude, I wouldn't wish this upon anyone.
We were robbed, there is no other way to put it.
After much post research, it appears that this company's license was revoked, but they are still in business somehow.
The BBB gives them an 'F' rating
Please google this company and you will see that they have many complaints describing this same scam.
nobody deserves to go through this.
By the way, they showed up in a rental truck, that should of been our first tip off that they are not a legitimate company.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, you will regret it. This is the classic moving scam, they will hold your items hostage.

Update;
this company refunded a small portion to my girlfriend and this is now considered resolved.
This is only after the month of distress and trouble.
I still would NOT recommend this company for anybody, or any need, there are too many honest companies out there and this one should be avoided.
here is some useful information that can help other victims now and in the future, as
well as those that were ripped off. It appears that there are
authorities for rouge moving companies;
WHAT TO DO AND WHO TO CALL
Check up on a mover's license: FMCSA Safety and Fitness Electronic Records
You can type in the company name or the license # and find out if they have a valid license and if they have insurance coverage.
