neverforget,
Everything you stated is incorrect.
I never signed a contract with the homeowner. I signed a contract with L.P.G.M., Inc. a General Contractor (GC) company to construct a portion of a swimming pool. As per the contract I was payed for each phase of the job by the GC, I was not paid by the homeowner. Towards the end of the job I was told by the GC that the home owner told him that he was running out of money and that L.P.G.M., Inc. the GC Company was pulling off the job. The GC also stated that the home owner told him the only way he or the trades working on the job (USA Pools, Inc., Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, etc.) would get paid is if they put a lien on the property and then when the property sold you would then get paid. I was instructed by the GC to pull off the job.
I then sent this letter to the GC as he informed me and he sent that letter to the City of Boca Raton so they would be aware of the situation and informed them I was pulling off the job.
I spoke with the City of Boca Raton and the GC did give them the letter and that they showed on their computer that I was no longer the Pool Contractor on that job.
The GC also signed a letter releasing USA Pools, Inc. and Leslie Schiff from the L.G.P.M., Inc. contract for the swimming pool.
