USA TRUCK Truck and Trailer Repair Man Van Burean, Arkansas
New to the trucking industry. I was issued a truck that I picked up in Spartanburge South Carolina. It was very dirty inside and was missing documents out of the Permit book and what was in the book was out of date. It was also missing other things and electric mirrors didn't work and nobody seem to care. I got to sit around the terminal a few days without pay while dispatch got me a load. Then I was on my way.
My first trailer I picked up had bad tire on it and dispatch wonted me to drive it the way that it was. Then the next one I picked up was missing trailer registration. I was starting to wonder what I had gotten my self into.
I have been working for USA for over 6 months now and all I do is pick up trailers that have to be repaired. I am talking hole brake jobs, 3-4 tires multiple lights all of this takes hours of waiting at T/As and Petro's. Never getting paid for any of the down time. Picking up 8 out of ten trailers that have to be repaired.
Then on top of that the truck started giving me trouble. I have taken it to T/As and Petro's for repairs and International. Staying in Motels while truck gets fixed and not getting paid or getting paid and so little money you could stay home and be cheeper.
Then when you finely get fixed and on the road again. Dispatch will put you on a load that will only take a day and they will give you 2 or 3 days so you get to sit again and not get paid.
Try to communicate by the Q-com and dispatch will ignore you. Call them on the phone and will wait for so long you will give up or run your phone bill up.
Call Road Assistance and they will try to get you to drive illegal to take it some where els so it will be cheeper and when you insist that you wont drive they will play phone tag with you so you will give up and drive it because you aren't getting paid.
You call dispatch and they tell you they will call back. HA HA HA Lie Lie Lie They wont call back.
If you put in for your home time in 2weeks 3weeks or any amount of time they will never get you home.
IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT DRIVING FOR USA TRUCK. YOU MIGHT WONT TO THINK AGAIN. If you can't get a job any where els then I guess you will have to. Not a good place to drive for
