Uverse UVERSE- HUGE BAIT AND SWITCH Internet
Our Uverse bill has been steadily creeping upward over the past 9 months, going from about $140 a month to $245 a month. They claim we no longer have the type of package we originally signed up for and that we are mistaken 100%. Imagine that... the customer is mistaken. For a company that prides itself on its CRM, the customer should never be mistaken. We know what a bait and switch is, and we know we were baited and switched.
I have learned that A&T contracts with smaller local call centers and pays them commissions of over $100 for each Uverse account they close (close- meaning gain). Obviously, these firms have no ties or accountability to AT&T and can say whatever they have to in order to close a deal. These firms couldn't possibly uphold the integrity that AT&T claims it has since there's no affiliation other than a commission-based relationship. AT&T then disavows the claims made by the salespeople who are trying to push its product.
Also, perhaps if AT&T didn't pay out these incredibly generous commissions to outside marketing firms, it wouldn't have to resort to dishonest and deceptive practices.
UVerse is a good service- when it works properly- but it is too expensive and AT&T has become too corrupt.
