In March of 2011 we received an email from Vacation Tree, Inc. to see if we were interested in selling our timeshare.  We contacted them immediately.  They were very nice and told us that they were going to sell our property within ten months and asked for $599 as a lisiting fee.  The further added that if the timeshare was not sold within ten months, they would make us an offer and buy it from us.

After ten months, we contacted them to find out what was happening.  They advised us that the property had not sold and they were working on getting comparables in order see what the market value was and they would make us an offer on our timeshare.  The told us it would take ten weeks for them to make us an offer.  We did not hear back from them after the ten week period so we again called them in March of 2012 and they again, advised that they were working on the comparables and to call at the end of April, 2012.

Having heard nothing, we again called in April, 2012 and we spoke with "Brianna" (the same young lady whom we spoke with before) and she told us to call in two more weeks because they were "still" working on comparables.  When we asked to speak with a supervisor, she advised that there was nothing we could do and that we had to wait for two more weeks until they came up with some comparables.

Now, in June of 2012, we received an offer for $22.50 for 30,000 points with Royal Holiday.    In the contract they also say that we need to have our maintenance fees paid to date  (which we have) and that we would be responsible for a transfer fee of $699.00 as well.  They further stated that all we had to pay was the fee above ($699.00) and they would take care of the additional $500 towards the escrow fee.  In other words, for us to sell our timeshare to them, we would have to pay them $676.50 for a total of $1,275.50 being paid out to them by us for them to purchase our timeshare.  If that's not a scam, then I don't know what is!!  This is ridiculous that no one has investigated this company further.  There is no way possible that we would even remotely pay them the amounts requested since they should be paying us.  I hope that someone has the smarts to go after them before they continue to steal money from other clients.

Its hard to understand how they  get away with this stuff unless you are a local resident and drive by their place.  they must be paying someone off in the city "fathers" to operate,    just drive by and see their workers on their break in the parking lot openly using drugs and no  police to  nail them
