Valeri Volkov - Floridahdd - Florida Cars Globaldatarecovery Re-painted a locating transmitter another color to look like a more costly model Clearwater Florida
I do directional drilling "I bore under roads, creeks & any obstical in the
way so we can install telephone cables.
I use a directional drill which has a transmitter in the head.
These are color coded blue, yellow, red and so on....
this lets you know the price but also the feactures and functions
of the transmitter. Mr. Val Volkov put a red on e-bay and I bought
it. when i got it i saw that the color and texture looked odd.
So i called the company and asked about serial # 717273 and
asked if they knew about it... They said yes that it had been sent
in a few weeks earlier to be tested and failed the amperage test.
I asked them according to the serial # i gave them what did i have.
they said it was a standard yellow sonde.
The E-Bay listing was as follows:
Long Range LIE
XL LIE
Red Sonde LIE
The malfunction that was detected by the company (excessive Amperage)
will make the unit send a stronger signal but at the cost of battery life...
Once the head of the drill is in the ground you can't change the battey.
so if you are drilling 300 foot and your batteries die then you need to
remove 30 sticks of drilling rod, clean the head, open the head, remove
the sonde , clean the sonde, open the sonde and add new batteries.
when you are on a 4000.00 job like this you don't want to stop and
add 2 c batteries at the cost of hours of labor and time on your
equipment.
When i confronted mr . volkov he said he did the modifications himself
and changed it from a yellow to a red sonde. I then told him i had called
the company and he was caught in yet another lie..
He then said, "well it works just like a red sonde...."
I said so i buy a ford bronco and make it look like a lincoln navigator
that would be o.k.
He then said well thats different
I have always had the best of luck with e-bay but there are crooks
like Mr. valeri volkov
he also has a bad rep with BBB in florida as well as a few claims here.
He is a crook and the worst thing is he will sell this product to someone
else that might not catch it...
After 3 weeks i did get my money back. I kept his product until i had
money in my account.
I should have sent the sonde to the local D.A. and let him deal with it.
but i am not rich and i needed my money back so i could buy a good
sonde from a good company..
I paid almost the same price but got a real one.
