Value city deceptive pricing, lousy furniture Toms River, New Jersey
I purchased a sofa in september, 2011. 3 months later, the cushions had no cushion in. I reported the incident to Value City and several weeks later, had someone get back to me. Several weeks after that, a man came to check out the problem with the sofa. Several weeks after that, i found 3 cushions in a plastic bag by my side door which were left for me to bring in the house and fit to the cushion covers. i was told by a woman at value city that they will not replace the sofa, only try to fix it.
less than 1 month after using the cushions, the same problem was evident. it was as though you were sitting on the floor when seated on my couch. I called and they came and am still waiting to hear back. What a piece of junk. MOREOVER,
i paid $550 for the couch in September, 2011. This fourth of July Holiday (2012), I entered into the Value City store to take a look around. I found my crappy sofa listed for Retail $1250 on sale for $799 with an additional markdown to $679. REALLY. Gee, what a holiday treat. You would be paying more for the sofa on the fourth of July holiday than any other time of year. Deceptive pricing and bad, bad products/customer service. I have pictures of the current prices and what I paid if needed.
