Back in February of this year I set up a payment and paid two payments that of which I was behind and I then asked to have 2 payments deferred because I had just had a baby and was not working. The rep took down a bunch of financial info and said no problem we can help you out.

Well thinking everything was ok I got a phone call a week later and was told I could not defer a payment. I asked why and got an ear full of crap as usual. I was very frustrated to say the least then I called a week later and explained my situation and got the ok again with the deferred payments.

Well it was now June and I recieve a lovely phone call saying my home will be reposessed because I am 3 months late on payments. I was so upset I gave the rep an earful(in a nice way) and after a week of playing phone tag I finally got everything straightened out. I made a payment and was able to defer a couple of payments. I recently spoke to someone and they assured me that at this point everything was fine, they just have not recieved July's payment yet.

Well, I got a letter in the mail saying that they were going to come to my home next week and do a private sale on it. I don't think they can do this!! I am so mad right now. I called a gentleman from the remarketing department and left a message. He is the same person I spoke with earlier this week assuring me everything was ok so I am curious to find out what he has to say about the letter I recieved. I will keep everyone updated.

I'm glad I have support and know that I am not the only one vmf is screwing over.

Hi everyone. I wrote in a few days ago and Vanderbilt did not have a private sale on my home. I think they realized they did not take the proper "legal" steps in reposessing a home. I log onto this website every few days to read the new entries. I am so disgusted by this company and wonder what we could all do to have Vanderbilt "looked at" if you know what I mean. I think it is great that there are those of you who are meeting with a lawyer or contacting the ftc for such things. Something should really be done about Vanderbilt. From reading the entries it seems as though Vanderbilt will still bother people if they are exactly on time with their payments. I wonder how Vanderbilt employees would like being treated the way that they treat us?
