I received an offer for a free e-cigarette from my internet provider, all I had to do was pay shipping of $3.95. I followed the link and started to request the free item and pay for shipping.
I discovered that shipping was $9.99, and the "free" item wasn't worth $9.99. I never signed up for anything, no account, no membership, nothing. I never confirmed anything, and there were at least three more steps I was supposed to go through to complete the transaction. There were a total of 5-6 steps, and I got stuck on the third step and it wouldn't let me out, so I went back to the page where I was going to pay for shipping, deleted my credit card number before closing the page, but they had already recorded the card number and charged the card!
Now it appears I have a membership that is going to charge me $99.95 a month for something - I don't even know what!
Just beware of ecigsbrand.com and do not fall for their "free" offer. It's not free! I should have known better, but my internet provider, whom I trusted gave me the offer, so no red flags were raised. I should have known better! Now I have many phone calls to make!
