Contacted last year by a company called Venturis regarding a land investment in Brazil called Coral Reef, now known as The Coral Lake and Beach Resort. Unfortunately the name of the resort keeps changing to try and re-brand it as something new so the scams can continue.

Venturis was run by three individuals, Neil Plowman, Reg Winters and Sam Rodgers.

On conducting Due Dilligence everything seemed fine. Unfortunately a guy called Dereck Keith in the UK backed Venturis to the hilt suggesting it was a safe investment however as an afterthought his involvement in questionable.

I am representing a number of clients who were ripped off by these individuals, where money was paid for plots of land at the development but was stolen by the marketing company and never ended up where it should have been.

The money ended up in accounts in Gibraltar and Cyprus.

The company Venturis was cleared out suddenly one night leaving the employees a mess to come to in the morning. The whole situation was a total scam designed to rip off people that were trying to invest for their futures.

The sums involved range from GBP 35,000 to beyond GBP 50,000 per investor. The promises made included various guarantees that you could get your money back, and that the plots would increase in value etc etc.

There was absolutely no information of any kind passed back to investors as to what had happened.

Even the lawyers that Venturis used were duped as false information was released supposedly from the lawyers. This was posted on the web site that needless to say no longer exists.

Sam Rodgers who sometimes uses other names, is still trying to sell plots at this development under a new company with a new facade. Neil Plowman is trying to hide somewhere presumably waiting until the wind has blown over and there is no sign of Reg Winters.

It has taken a long time to build an accurate picture here but some of the ex-employees have been very helpful in piecing together what an actual scam this is.

There is also a thread regarding all this on Bustathief.com. If you visit the site and put in Venturis in the search you will see a lot of comments from all sides.

We want to expose the individuals concerned with this scam as they are nothing but thieves at thee end of the day.

If anyone is uncertain who they are dealing with we have some photos of the individuals so there is no doubt as to who they are regardless of what names of aliases they decide to use.

These guys hang about on Costa Del Crime in Spain as they are unregulated in what they do and think they are beyond the Law.

What a load of rubbish. these two individuals still live on the Costa del Sol and can be found in calahonda. They operated this scam from a villa in marbella. the villa plots were a scam from day one and all of your hard earned depoists have now been stolen and hidden in gibraltar. Neil plowman has interpol chasing him for money laundering and fraud. So lets keep in touch and find these thiefs.

There has been some speculation and adverse comments on certain forums regarding the CORAL LAKE AND BEACH RESORT project ("CLBR").

Based on that, we will stick to the facts, which can be proven and shows the legality and legitimacy of CLBR:

 

  1. A.     History of the Project

 

  1. The CLBR is a real estate project located in the municipality of Trairí, State of Ceará, designed to be one of the leading developments of the region.
  2. To do so, we took with all possible measures to ensure the legality and solidity of the project: we hired professionals to conduct an extensive due diligence of the property before its acquisition and independent environmental auditors to verify the project's environmental regularity.
  3. In those due diligences, it was verified that the CLBR is a result of an Allotment registered on 1992 and that all registers and licenses needed to install the Allotment were in place.

 

  1. Indeed, on 2008, SEMACE (the environmental body) granted a new Installation License to the Allotment (License 171/08). This license is needed for the construction of the public equipments (sewage system, streets, electricity, etc) ("Infrastructure Works") and was grounded on studies done by the members of SEMACE, which confirmed the environmental viability of the allotment.

 

  1. Also on 2008, the City Hall of Trairí reinforced the approval for the opening of the avenues and streets of the allotment.

 

  1. Based on these documents, we began to market and commercialize CLBR. Moreover, we hired the best architecture company in Ceará (MD CONCEPT) to develop the whole concept of the CLBR and expected to start the construction of the infrastrucutre of CLBR on January, 201

 

  1. B.      SEMACE issue and final solution
  2. However, contradictory and arbitrarily, SEMACE denied the request for the renewal of the Installation License and hampered our schedule for the installation of the Allotment. Curiously, this happened with other projects located at the coast of Ceará.

 

  1. We never stopped fighting to revert this abnormity and, after big efforts from our side, SEMACE approved the installation of the Technical Chamber to analyze the CLBR. This Technical Chamber had the CLBR analyzed by a group of technicians and concluded for its viability.

 

  1. Then, on 12-09-2013, SEMACE finally issued the Installation License n. 59/2013, which validity can be checked in the following official link:

The Land was purchased by the current owner, directly from the former owner of the land which, for your interest was not Venturis or anyone associated with them.
