The Venue/ Edge at Grayhawk are condominium rentals in a very expensive part of North Scottsdale Arizona.  Their management Company manager committed fraud when we moved out of the facility in 2012.  While living there, we had many maintenance problems which included but not limited to 2 complete kitchen light replacements (obviously not done correctly the first time) an oven that shut off with more than 2 burners in use(also 20+ degrees off cooking temp in the oven), illegals dealing drugs out of the condo across the court (8 people living in 3 br), same illegals frquently left garbage at the bottom of the stairs, numerous break-ins/ vandalization to vehicles parked next to complex, dog feces in common play areas, sub-standard washer/ dryer that had to be replaced, "entire building deemed infested with scopions"(quote from pest control), rug saturated with animal urine which we cleaned bi-monthly.

I have a 3, 5 and 13 year olds so having a scorpion problem could easily be a possible life threatening situation.  My five year old was stung 3 times, I was stung twice and our 13 year old was also stung twice. I killed at least a dozen while conducting nightly sweeps of the condo.  It was pure luck that the 3 year old was not stung.

Proir to moving out, I discussed with maintenance the fact that my little ones used crayons on the walls.  I intended to paint these walls but was told not to be concerned because they paint all of the units before re-renting.  I did apply primer to areas I felt needed it.  Upon moving out, I was given a bill for over $1,300 to replace the 5yr old carpeting and for painting/cleaning unit.  I never planned to receive $500 deposit because I didn't clean as well as I should have.  I was later informed that the old urine saturated rug was not replaced before the next renter moved in.  The next renter moved out within a couple of months due to the previuos issues and the current renter is also contemplating moving out.

I received a collection notice for nearly $800 dollars which included charges for the carpet that was never replaced.  Not only is this ethically wrong but it is also illegal (fraud).  I will persue legal action but my credit is severely damaged and will prevent my Family from purchasing a home until I get this issue resolved.
