As a professional dental office, we strive to provide comforting, quality dental care for every patient, including this patient posting the review. Enclosed are the details from our records concerning her new patient, late day, walk-in emergency appointment.
The patient presented in our office, 4:00pm without an appointment. She was not a patient of record and our office was extremely busy. We accepted her as a patient, because she was in discomfort. The tooth was infected. The doctor performed an extraction, and offered her pain medication. She declined saying her Father was a pharmacist, and she already had a codeine prescription. She had antibiotics from a prior dentist, but refused to take medicine due to stomach ulcers.
Upon checkout, she was given a new family coupon of $100 towards her services as our gift reducing her out of pocket significantly.
She called the doctor at home. He instructed her, that her particular extraction would have some discomfort, yet would subside. She was welcome to come into the office for him to check for normal healing. She presented the next afternoon, (appointment time of her choice). Healing appeared normal, but was given a pain prescription. This visit was no charge to the patient, or any more follow-up appointments.
We do not laugh at patients in pain, and apologize to this patient if she felt we laughed.
We wish this patient the best.
