Verizon Business Bundle Service Business Service Nightmare Frederick County Maryland
This complaint is filed with hopes of FCC, Federal & State investigating the Business practice of Verizon for all privately owned stores. I have a small shop with Verizon phone charges higher then my rent. We opened 12 months ago. The first two months I could not open due to the phone line & computer service not connected properly. Debit and Credit could not be used.
We were charged enormous fees, For every call made; more charges were placed by a Rep. In Oct 2007 we spoke with Verizon's finance dept. who advised us for every call, the representative changed the service to what they felt was best which created more assessment fees.
The finance dept., corrected the billing from $500+ to $135, we hired a outside service to fix the lines to avoid a$200 charge. In Jan. 2008 the phone bill started increasing again. I continued to make the October agreement. At this point in time, Sept. 2008, a bill arrived $500/with cut-off for $800. I placed a grivance.
Disputing the charges was a complete nightmare. I refused to pay for a 3 year contract I never took out on a small store with a 2 year lease. I was charged for the broadband equipment which was free w/ 2 yr. contract, They charged me for hiring the outside service as requested, it becomes so confusing I can't believe the government allows this type of control. The store now sit's with no communication, closed along w/10 other stores on Main Street.
The last statement said to me was "all charges are approved by FCC".
