I recently recognized some strange charges on one of my Verizon bills for "Data" services, but they originated from a city that neither my wife and I live in or travel to very often. When I called up their Customer Support line, I attempted to address these charges with the CSR I spoke with (a woman, but I forgot to write down her name).

The CSR stated that the charges have originated from my wife's phone. I told her that it's impossible because she was with me at the time, and we weren't in the city that was listed....and there were other "Data" charges from the same day that originated from where we actually lived and traveled. I then asked the CSR to check on what the "Data" services were. She stated they were for use of the "Get It Now" feature...and minutes are used even when browsing. I asked her if the service tracks according to where were are. She said that it's billed according to the tower that picks up the service.

Wait a second....that doesn't make much sense. I live in Advance, NC...and the tower that picked up the signal is about 1 1/2 hours drive from my house? That doesn't make sense AT ALL!! I was with my wife at the time....when she was using the "feature", we traveled to Mocksville, Advance, and Winston-Salem. HOW did a Charlotte tower pickup the signal?

Are there ANY Verizon Wireless Employees or Ex-Employees that can explain this? These MUST be fraudulent charges as it drove my bill well over $200!!
