Verizon Wireless Scam to Charge Data Usage for $1.99; Customer Service Reps Can't Even Help Fremont California
I cannot believe how frustrating this is. Ever since I signed up for a family plan for 3 individuals, I have been having problems with every billing cycle. Every month I get charged data usage ($1.99 each phone) for 2 out of the 3 phones for 0.01 data usage. Every month I call to complain that none of the phones use data, the customer service rep always tells me that he/she will make the changes to have the data usage blocked, and every month, the 0.01 data usage comes back. The good thing is that I am always credited appropriately to have the charges reversed.
But this is becoming a pain. I called last Friday for the same complaint. The customer service rep told me that the reason I was charged for the data usage was for pix flix from text messages. I know for a fact that one of the phones is used my a senior and she never ever receives any pix flix text messages.
Regardless, I asked the rep to remove this feature. What happens now, I look at my current usage and that 0.01 data usage shows up again. I see that the rep did not block this feature like she said it would. I am about 3 months into my 2 year agreement and just counting the months before I can end my agreement with Verizon. I am also really tempted to just pay the early termination fee to get out of this hassle.
