Verizon called our house on 01/30 to ask if we wanted to change our plan because they saw that we were not using all of the minutes on our plan. They also saw that my husband was doing a lot of texting and that he did not have a texting plan. I changed our plan to lower our minutes in our plan and to have a text plan added to my husband's line.

The plan was not changed until 02/11. That meant we were still paying the old price from 01/30 to 02/11. They told me that the "contract" fell through the cracks, but the effective date of the "contract would be 02/11 and that it was good for 2 years. They also said that my husband's text messaging was not added on yet, but that they would add it on. The end date for me and my husband's end date was 02/11/11.

At the end of March we received a call from the promotions department that my line had gone over in text messages and they wanted to know if we wanted to upgrade our text messages package. I told them no, we were just on vacation. They also told me that my husband might want to add a text plan because they saw that my husband text a lot. This was the third time that I added the text package. I also asked for a credit to be backdated.

In early April, we received a promotional letter in the mail about my husband doing a lot of texting and that he should add texting to his line. I called Verizon and found out that the package still was not on his line. They told me that they would do it this time and they weren't sure why it wasn't done. I again asked for a credit to be back dated, which is now being disputed.

My husband is due for an upgrade. I looked at the end date of our contracts for the new 2 year contract. The end date of our contracts is this year and next year, not 02/11/11. When I just called them, they stated that we just got a promotional 100 minutes, and that we technically did not change our "contract".

This company is deceptive, they lie, they don't care about customer service, and they will do whatever they can to trap you. I still have another year on my phone, and I am so disgusted with them right now, that I don't want anything to do with them. The sales man who called me on 01/30 said whatever I wanted to hear to get me to change my plan and enter into a new "contract". Please be very cautious dealing with this company.

How do I Know, for a FACT, that this is just a story? Because of this: Verizon Wireless does NOT extend contracts for plan changes. She mentions the extension due to the plan change several times. This makes this a bald face LIE.
