Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
This summer I cancelled my Digital Family Plan (2 phones, 1 bill) with Verizon Wireless after three years of service. I told the representative our phones were old and we needed to replace or get a new plan, please just Cancel Our Plan.

They sent me what I thought was a final bill last month, I got a partial bill, $29. This month, I get a $45 bill because I didn't cancel the other phone line. I just cancelled ONE phone line! They didn't know how else to bill me so they just billed me the full amount.

I'm sorry. But I said, "Cancel our Family Plan". I did not say I wanted to just keep one phone with all the minutes on it and to charge me full rate for the one phone.

I also did not understand how they credited me one month for closing the plan and then socked it to me the next month for the full amount of a Plan I had closed!

The most frustrating part of this was the awful experience I had on the phone trying to get through to these people on the Verizon Wireless end. "I cancelled my plan! I didn't use the phones since August 1st when I cancelled my "Family" plan!" They just listened and didn't help me one bit. I asked them how they slept at night ripping people off like this.

I will NEVER be a Verizon Customer again. I figure this is my stupid mistake for not being ANAL and asking them if they canceled both phones on my FAMILY PLAN!

When you sign up for service Verizon charges you one month in advance(for each and every line you activate.) Upon cancelling your service you should have been credited back this amount. This credit should be applied to your closing bill. Don't ignore this! Most people forget about this and just pay whatever it says.
