I have to agree with you on dealing with Verizon. When you have no problem with them, there is no problem at all. Once you have a problem, it becomes never ending problem and could take months to fix. The problem with this corporation is that they do NOT keep the record straight. One person on the phone said he/she entered the information in the system, but the info may get lost some how when you call the next time. Also, each time you call, you would talk to a different person.
From my experience when I tried to cancel their service a couple years ago, it took me almost 6 months to get it off. I called to cancel their phone & DSL service because I moved to another location where they did not provide the service in the area. I called to cancel about a month before I moved, and called again a couple days before I moved to ensure that they got the cancellation. Then the next month came and I got a bill stating that I owed them the service for the month. I called them and they said they took it off. Then the next month came and I got another bill. They said it was from DSL which was obvious that they didn't provide their service in my area. It went on for a couple more months and finally no more bill came. In my case, the problem seems to be resolved and no collection. I am sorry to hear about your case.
