I called to register my Victoria's Secret Angel Card and was put through to their credit protection service called Identity Protector to hear about a "free trial" offer and a chance to get a $20 gift card from Victoria's Secret. I was told that I would receive the information and have 30 days from the time I received the info to make a decision. I was also to be receiving my gift card in the mail. I never received any information or gift card, but I started being charged on my angel card the $12.99 a month charge. I called to complain and spoke w/ someone whom they now claim doesn't exist in their company. Funny how he does not exist since he cancelled the account, but refused to refund the charges.

I called back later and spoke with Deborah ( the "only" supervisor) who was an absolute JERK. She told me it was my fault because I didn't cancel in time. I informed her that I could not make a call earlier because I hadn't received the information. She said that wasn't her fault, and that she would not refund anything. I informed her I would not be paying for something that I never got to look at, and that her company didn't keep up their end of the bargain with the gift card either. She claims it was because I didn't register the card. I said  "They didn't tell me to register anything. The girl said I was registered by allowing the service." Deborah claimed that I had to call back and register the card and that since I had not done this she would not send me the gift card. I told her how dishonest this was, that I would call a lawyer and the Better Business Bureau to report them, and she told me to "Go ahead, and do whatever you need to do but I will not refund the charges." I have never been so angry and frustrated over a company's behavior.

I then called and spoke w/ a supervisor from Angel Card who took action in his own hands. He sent a message to them telling them to refund the charges, and gave me his name and extension in case it did not come off by my next billing statement to call him back. Thank you to Victoria's Secret. I do wish they would break all ties w/ this fraudulant identity protection service as they are going to ruin the name of Victoria's Secret. I noticed on Ripoff Reports that this has happened to numerous people. I say we all turn them in to the Better Business Bureau and get them shut down!!!!
