Below is my complaint to the Better Business Bureau and Mr. Matthew Milne, Mr. Marc M. Maupin of ViewSonic corporation:

On August 20, 2007, I telephoned ViewSonic concerning red lights coming through my VG2021M monitor. I was issued RMA: VSA-070820-0245 and informed turnaround time is 10 to 15 business days; I sent my unit in for warranty repair, under Federal Express tracking number 330259510007827, being received by ViewSoinc on September 6, 2007.

Since ViewSonic's receipt of my defective unit, I've had the displeasure of contacting ViewSonic a minimum of 4 times through the website chat feature only to be informed:

9-24-077: Turnaround is 15-18 days.

10-1-07: Would I accept a VX2025 replacement, shipping in two (2) days.

10-3-07: No tracking number, I will escalate, tracking data within 24-48 hours.

10-5-07: No tracking data available, I will resubmit request.

10-9-07: No tracking data available.

10-12-2007: No status, updates or resolution from View Sonic.

Telephone calls are met with disconnection, silence or repeated customer service attempts to escalate unit to ship; which has never departed ViewSonic's facility.

10-17-07: Refurbished defective replacment monitior arrives via United Parcel Service. There was dried up food on the monitors screen and frame.

This unit was purchased from on-line retailer www.zipzoomfly.com, brand new.

View Sonic's reply to the Better Business Bureau:

Final Response - Posted 10-19-2007

We will honor our offer to send the customer a new VX2025 LCD Monitor and will keep the customer's original unit. We will contact the customer and provide a return prepaid shipping label for his current unit and ship the NEW unit on receipt of the old unit.

January 9, 2008. ViewSonic has not contacted me in any manner. My State's Attorney General now has all documentation pertaining to this and is unwilling to move forward, yet.
