Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
currently, my wife and I purchased two new LG Rumor Touch phones from Virgin Mobile USA.  that process went smoothly.  however, I had my phone number ported from my previous carrier on 5/28/2010 at approximately 9AM Central Time.  It is currently, 330 PM Central Time on 6/1/2010 and my phone is STILL not working.  this is highly inconvenient because I need my phone to work for personal use as well as for my work.  I am in IT and I have to be reachable at all times throughout the course of the business day.

everytime I call I get this pitiful excuse that they have to "manually move my number to my new phone" or the phone "should" be active by Monday.  oh and the other excuse is that "you have one of the new phones so they are not set up in our system yet.  well, if its not setup then the morons should not be selling the stupid phones if they are not prepared to handle the technical aspects, that should be common sense.

so now they try to pacify me and say they will give me a month of free service for the inconvenience.  that's fine and dandy but I STILL do not have phone service!

well Monday came and went and it is Tuesday and the phone is still not working.  I am highly upset about this and would advise people to tread carefully before choosing Virgin Mobile for their service provider.  due to this event I don't even want to move my wife's service over to this number in fear of a repeat of this nightmare. this is a sad and pathetic arrangement that these people have and I am strongly considering eating the purchase of these phones and move to another carrier.

readers you have been warned, if you move to Virgin Mobile with one of the new phones that they are offering now be prepared to be inconvenienced for who knows how long before you have phone service

as of today the phone now works.  Virgin Mobile gave me 100 minutes of talk time to use and i am able to send and receive texts

this is ok for now since I am at least able to get a phone call unlike before.  the current problem is now they are having difficulty "completely porting the number over". whatever that means

long story short i am unable to use the $40 plan that has 1200 minutes and unlimited everything else

the good thing is that at least they seem to be trying to resolve this issue. im still not completely satisfied since if my minutes run out I have to "call customer service AGAIN" and wait on hold for who knows how long to get more minutes until they get their act together with getting this plan applied to my phone line.  plus we test a LOT and this balance will disappear in no time flat since each text is .15 cents a pop

I hate to be so disgruntled about this but I have never had this problem with any other carrier.  i have better things to be concerned about other than my phone service but I made this post so others can see what could possibly happen to them. i really hope this gets resolved soon as in this week, today would be nice, because I  paid good money for these two phones and want to use this phone at its full capability.  any old phone can make a call and send/receive texts

this company can do better than this, after all doesn't Sprint own them now?

there are too many other carriers, Cricket, T-Mobile, Boost who are stepping up their game and quality of their phones and plans for those who don't want to get locked down in a contract.

i kid you not in the near future once i get our money's worth out of these new phones i have no hesitation in moving our phones numbers to another carrier who has their act together and doesn't put the cart before the horse and put items on the market that they do not know how to service
