Virtual Learning Center -- VLC Went out of business and took my money! Niagara Falls, New York
I purchased the Medical Transcription course from this company in 2006. They continuously boasted it didn't matter if you took time away from the course, you could finish on your own time schedule.
I was on the last part of the course. All I had to do was finish the transcription reports and take the final to get my certification. I checked back in November of 2009 and they were still up and assured me I could start the course back up where I left off.
Now they're apparently out of business, they've taken $1200 of my hard earned money and now I have nothing to show for it. There was NO notification that they were going out of business and now I have no proof to show they said I could continue because their forums are gone. There is no way to access my records/grades and no way to get my certification so I can't get a job. I can't believe they just disappeared and left all their students stranded!
