Last Nite I turned on my TV and I saw they pitching a system on the computerstore of shopNBC and I looked at the specs posted. Ive noticed some things that contradict JPeterson's claim that they are selling state of the art machines. For one thing I noticed a 533Mhz FSB. - This is considered to be the Front Side Bus(FSB) speed of an entry system that you pay 600 elsewhere. The mainstream pentium 4 systems I would get today for the price of over $1000 are suppose to have an 800 MHz FSB. So immediately I decided to not purchase their system. I also looked at the back of the machine that they manage to get a footage and noticed that a majority of the stuff is integrated onto the motherboard. This severely limits your upgrading capability. And They say they have a DVD RW thrown In. Right now the DVDRW technology is still quite premature so i would suggest waiting another 6 months before getting a DVDRW.

Thanks to all you guys and your candid remarks about Viscom/ShopNBC, I shyed away from this den of vipers and their fast talking sales pitcher and this dude is the proud owner of a new Dell. I couldn't be happier. I suggest you do the same. Visit their website. They have some great deals right now on desk-tops. DON"T BUY ANYTHING OFF TV!
