Vizcaya Vizslas / Nancy Edmunds of (((REDACTED))), 30680-3834  Winder, Georgia. Her contact 404-xxx-xxxx (((REDACTED))).

On September 21st I was given my wirehaired vizsla puppy or 9 weeks directly by Nancy Edmunds owner proprietor of Vizcaya Vizslas.

I was led to believe she is a responsible breeder to the extent she shares such thoughts on her website and verbalizes them in emails and by phone. Sadly that is where it ends.  In the paperwork she e-mails her new dog owners you would find; breeding practice ethics of her own, vaccination do’s and don’ts, and more.  One of her documents advises her new puppy owners to have a fecal float test. Per her request I had this done at my own cost. It was discovered upon vet review and testing his ears were very gooped up with debris and such and required a through cleaning as well and more serious the puppy had an isospora parasite/Coccidia.  Now we had to pay additional for more fecal testing and medication for him, as well as my older dog requiring a fecal testing as they live under the same roof and share the same grounds for relieving themselves. As you may know this parasite is picked up through the nursing of the mother who has it and/or the grounds, which they reside, not bring cleaned adequately.

When alerting Nancy Edmunds about this she did not act surprised nor offer to assist in the costs in a responsible fashion. We inquired if she would do so and she agreed to. After 6 weeks of waiting for reimbursement after sharing all vet invoices and receipts as requested by the breeder, we finally get a lengthy email agreeing only to pay for medication for $23 when in fact all testing and vet visit costs were well over $150.

First and foremost before buying a puppy if the breeder does not openly share pictures of their kennels and overall dog breeding quarters as well as a number of recent and past puppy owners, pass on them.  I learned the hard way!

fabricated response of an irresponsible breeder

I'm so glad this report has finally been noticed.

As I shared in my experience last year, now apparently causing some tension with the breeder, as this is the second unreal post from a number of consumer beware websites I shared my horrendous experience of an "Irresponsible Breeder". And what I gather is Ms. Edmonds herself and/or a friend /attorney since she already used one to defend being a co-owner through AKC of which I want nothing to do with her anymore after all this--ever again! She would not reliquish her position.

What a childish statement to make readers feel empathy for this puppy being owned by me. You know nothing about me and how well loved and mannered my other animals are--this isn't my first rodeo.

Anyone who says, and I share this verbatim: Correct your puppy by making a fist and smacking them on the top of the muzzle knows nothing about behavioral adjustments nor behaves well as a human either. Ms. Edmunds pumps out puppies like a puppy mill and is the only breeder stateside doing it at such a level, that in itself should be a red flag. Don’t take my word for it call other Vizsla breeders as I have heard the same thing about her.

This breeder even went as far to say that I didn’t love my puppy, as I never posted the words on my Facebook page. Sorry I was busy getting him healthy for the first month and Facebook means little to my life. Who does she think she is making such judgmental statements? I have emails that show the type of person she really is and happy to extend to anyone wanting to learn first hand how she thinks and communicates before considering shelling out $1500 or more for one of her Vizslas.

As for defamatory statements, go for it attorney and I will gladly defend all written in any court with proof of bills and letters. She is a breeder that now after reading the reply to my original statement, I feel is in it for the money and maybe started with good intentions but it is obvious she has too much on her plate (multiple puppies from multiple bitches all at one time) and not attending to the raising of the puppies as she is busy traveling to shows etc. instead of caring for these puppies in the early necessary development stages and sending them off sick as mine was. And there’s more: My puppy fear-barked at 10 weeks young, 10 weeks! Which has escalated since, as he’s now 9 months (keep in mind I had only had him for less than a week at that stage). I’m sure a response would have you believe that is my fault. Thanks Nancy for breeding one of yours (Wire Rem Shades) to a new male Vizsla you had no previous experience with.

This man has issues that Ms. Edmunds attempted to resolve with him on numerous occasions and he refused all of her reasonable offers. I personally know that she offered to take his puppy back and he refused. He prefers to trash her on the internet instead of engaging in a mature dialogue. I feel sorry for the puppy! I have a show dog purchased from Vizcaya Vizslas and have been very pleased with his health, conformation, and temperament.

This buyer should be advised that further inaccurate and defamatory remarks on this forum or any other public forum may subject him to legal action.
