I have 3 listings with VRBO and they have screwed up on each one. Because hosts can't review guests, there's no qualifying who's staying at your house, so, our first guest was a woman who traded sex with her taxi cab driver to get a ride out to our house since she had no money. VRBO accidentally showed her booking dates incorrectly, having her at our place longer than she paid for. Oh, and I don't even get my money for 30 days because they hang on to it. They blocked my calendar incorrectly for almost 2 weeks because they had the wrong listing number. They cancelled a request because they said I didn't respond and you can clearly see on the email chain that I responded within 4 hours. They sent me an email saying "congratulations, you've received your first booking" - 4 days after the booking occurred. They sent me an introductory email asking me to fill out a survey, which I did. 5 days later they sent me the same email. On the mobile ap, you can't view anything but your calendar and your inbox, making the ap pretty much worthless. Tonight I booked a reservation and since they won't let you list a 2 bedroom suite pricing separately, they keep sending customers the wrong quote, which only serves to anger your prospective guest. I edited the quote to correct it and the commission that they take out of my rate was incorrect (in their favor of course). I called and the rep said that it was a "rarity in the algorithim" that couldn't be fixed. Are you kidding?? 10% is 10%, it's not a tough formula to figure. They wouldn't correct it, meaning that the terms and conditions on which I agreed to list my property are now invalid when it comes to them getting a larger commission than advertised. The rep also told me the wrong deposit to request from my guest. They are a disaster, no wonder Airbnb has 250,000 more subscribers - now there's a good company!
