I bought 2 sets of 8 Solar lights from Walmart Canada Online in Sept 2012.
The lights no longer function and some only last for 5 mins.
I know others have said the same about the poor quality of these lights, however I was shocked that Walmart Canada Customer Services doesn't care about their customers at all. I did the same bought 2 sets of these and returned the first set by contacting walmart customer services after 9 months of owning them.
Now the second set had the same issue and failed. Now walmart tell me to contact the manufacturer directly. What a load of rubbish that is. this companies website is under maintenance indefinitely and their details are all in china. I was told to contact them, How crazy is walmart to tell customers this. they import products exclusively and don't stand by customer returns. I was told senior management have declined the offer of paying for the return of the product and giving a refund.
I since called Walmart Canada customer care once again stating this is not good enough. I then said once again the manufacturers details and website is no longer valid so i am coming to Walmart for a resolution on this and need the details of the manufacturer.
I was then told that the associate you spoke to didn't give these details when seeking approval from senior management to make an exception or resolution on this case.
If this is how Walmart Canada is going to treat their loyal customers I will switch to Target and Home Depot for everything as their customer services is outstanding and first rate. I encourage you to not make the same mistake when putting your trust in Walmarts products they import, Its obviously something they want to sell quickly and move on after having made their money.

In response to the way you worded this.
I asked for the manufacturers details as the ones i have are invalid and the website states they are no longer valid as well.
I know for a fact walmart still sells these products so i expect them to give me the correct details as i cannot find them and NO i am not Lazy in response to your statement.
And No Canadian's are not dumb they are sensible compared to the trash I have seen that goes on in Walmart USA.
I wasn't out for a refund i wanted to take this up with the manufacturer directly which is where the Walmart customer services should be helping me as they still apparently sell this product but cannot get hold of it.

You are a self entitled a**!! Customer service DOESNT mean that they have to take it in the a*s 9 months after your purchase. The most any retail business will give you is 30 days. PERIOD!! They are right, you must contact the manufacturer and redeeem the manufacturer warrenty. Get over your self princess. You dont DESERVE a refund from Walmart. You DO deserve a swift kick to the a*s to dislodge your head. 30 days is ALL anyone ever gets and thats generous. By you posting here you have shown yourself to be a self entitled a*s and you desperatly need a lesson in how to make and return purchases. So you go ahead and blame walmart, that doesnt concern me. What does is the sheer stupidity of your post. They cant and wont do anything after 30 days. After 30 days you must go through the manyfacturer. But Im a betting man and Im betting youre too lazy to do the work yourself. You want someone else to take and be responsable for your problem. Well unfortunatly, 9 m onths after the purchase is all between you and the manufacturer. It has nothing to do with anyone else.
I thought you ppl were smarter then that in Canada...I guess stupid is universal.
