Hi all! I found this site by accident, but was pleasantly thrilled to run accross it! Okay, I've read some walmart employees defending other employees and the bad service that seems to be predominant throughout... everywhere!!! I thought that the lancaster walmart was the worst!!! But after reading all the other rip off reports, i'd say there's definitely a couple of ties!!! MNaybe after you've been a walmart employee, you just become completely BLIND to what's going on around you!!!
I am on a management team (won't mention the company, you'll have to do your own research) for the 5th most profitable non-profit organization in the world!!! Ready for this, walmart wouldn't hire me!!! I even had two interviews, 6 years managerial experiance, an impeccable resume! Then my present employer hired me, seeing what an obvious asset I'd be!!! all i could figure was that i was over qualified, or didn't have a bad enough attitude, or wasn't young enough (33), which is one of walmarts problems to begin with!!! where do they find these people???
i challenge anyone to walk into the lancaster walmart on any given day and find more than 5 registers open. And then, mosey on back to the fabric dept, and find anyone working there!! or practically any dept for that matter. and, MOST of the cashiers don't even give you a "hi", "bye", or "kiss my a*s", the whole time their ringing you out!!! what has happened to customer service????? at my company, i don't want people to say, I go to --- because of the products, or prices. I want them to say that they come to my company because of the great customer service and relaxed happy atmosphere. That last 5 minutes of customer service is a hell of alot more important than products or cheap prices!!!! agree????
the kmart here in lancaster is starting to pick up more business... i wonder why???
I will remember all the faces i see at the walmart, because if they ever come to my company looking for a job...hahahaha!!! already had several applivcations from walmart employees!!!
Jerry Vaugn, manager of lancaster walmart, was fired recently. supposed to be getting a new manager. will things change??? not unless he gets rid of all the employees he's got now that are driving his customers away... forever. i now shop at the rock hill walmart... much better. their stuff is priced and you're not always hunting for one of those gadgets on the walls to find out how much something is, when it should have been priced on the shelf to begin with!!! hello!!!
one more question to close. how come these big corporate people don't go into these stores and see all this b.s. for themselves???? And to the cashier who argued with me about the price of the Tony's pizza's, no wonder you're just a min. wage cashier with a lousy attitude!!!!

Would you feel like smiling after a full day of working for a few cents above minimum wage & NO benefits ,standing on cement floors until you feel like your legs will never stop hurting again & dealing with rude bossy customers as well as managers & CSM's who think they are God who make comments constantly about how much they hate Walmart as well as telling you how to do your job,all the while you're mind wanders & you begin to wonder how you're going to pay your bills & feed your children because your hours have been cut back to nothing so the store manager can get a nice fat bonus ? Come on folks ,give us a little bit of credit & maybe a little smile our way would make our job a little better too.Somedays we're all doing the best we can just to motivate ourselves to get to work . I think YOU should become a Walmart associate so you can stand in the registers or on the redline & smile all day because you love your job sooo.... darn much.
