I was contacted by a sales agent of this company to purchase additional service warranty insurance for my car. They had all my information and told me this was a bumper to bumper coverage and will cover all parts should it break down except for oil changes. My spark plug gave problems one day on the freeway and the coil broke apart. It was so called after-hours (after 6pm MST) and no customer service was available. According to the sales rep, if it occurs after hours, I just had to bring it to the shop, get it repaired, fax the info to the company and I would be reimbursed. I did just that. Now, they are saying whatever happened to my car is not covered by the company. Above that, when I asked the customer service rep named Dee to explain what is covered and what's not...she said verbatim "Don't you have eyes to read? Can you not read? Go read your contract yourself. This is not my job!" I am incredibly shocked by her behavior and the type of customer service this company offers. Above that, when I called the selling dealer at 1800-649-1856, I spoke to the rep Breanna and asked her how much I would be refunded should I cancel now as I was told the insurance works on a prorated basis and since it was fully paid, I would be refunded of any unused period after cancellation. She told me she couldn't tell me how much I would be refunded NOR could ANYONE in the entire company until I had actually cancelled. When I asked to be transferred to a supervisor, she refused. This company is dishonest, uses shady sales practice, maintains extremely poor customer service, and is in the business of screwing customers.

In fact, I spoke to the supervisor in the claims dept and he told me that he actually has had many customers call in and complain because they were sold on a "different product" than what was actually serviced to them. He also told me not to expect much from the refund should I cancelled. Sounds like the employees of this company don't even believe in the company. This company should not be in business.

I am the CFO of Warranty America. While I understand this lady's frustration, she should have simply tried to speak to someone higher up. It is true that repairs that are not authorized are not covered, but that is only upheld when the repairs are done during our business hours when we could have provided an authorization. If this is true that it happened outside of business hours, we would not have denied that. If we did I would like to see evidence of that. Also, we DO have a rep here named Dee, but I most definitely do NOT believe she spoke to this lady in that way. She is a very experienced customer service rep and if anything is almost "too nice" to people on the phone - she always is wanting to help them. Again - if there is an issue with the sales company, like the refund, that needs to be taken up with them as we do not handle that. As with many of these posts, let's see some evidence of these claims. We are readily available to help people. There is obviously some reason they choose to come post here.......
