WASC Laundry Corp Ruined a silk shirt after I gave them specific instructions; verbally abused me Astoria New York
I have been an on and off customer of WASC Laundry Corp for several years. I dropped off two shirts to be dry cleaned; one of them was a new silk shirt I had only worn a few times. I told the clerk to please NOT staple the tag to the shirt as it would cause the item to tear. She noted "Special Care" on the receipt. They charged me $9 to dryclean two shirts. I picked up the shirt(s) a few days later, got busy making dinner, then went to remove the plastic wrapping only to find that they had double stapled the ticket to the sleeve of my silk shirt (they had also stapled a second ticket on the inside tag). Of course, the staples left two holes in the sleeve of my $60 shirt. I went back to ask the owner what had happened, and not only did he refuse to acknowledge or even look at the shirt, but basically called me a liar. I told him that I am a doctor and have no reason to lie to him; he was so rude and nasty that I turned to leave and heard him say, "F**k you, doctor".
Bottom line, if you want your item returned the way it is, DON'T GO to WASC Laundry Corp on 25th Avenue in Astoria...they have no respect for their customers and are only looking to make a quick buck, no doubt to finance their summer home in Greece.
