Wawadigital.com ripoff scam bait and switch New York Internet
I was looking for a good digital camera and found a powershot for a great price at wawadigital.com I checked the reviews on everyprice.com and they looked great. I proceeded to order the camera using my credit card.
I received a call the next day from a salesperson trying to get me to buy overpriced accessories(256 MB CF card for $110--only $20 at legitimate stores) When I refused to add accessories I was told that the camera was out of stock but I could get a similiar one for $150 more. When I said no they told me my order was cancelled and hung up.
I watched my credit card statement and was not charged. I even received a calcellation e-mail from them.
I thought all was fine until a week later I started finding high dollar charges on my account(over $2000). I immediately cancelled my card. I have not given my info to any unknown companies EXCEPT wawadigital. After my terrible experience in trying to buy a camera-along with their deceptive tactics- I strongly suspect they are involved with these unauthorized transactions.
Buy somewhere else! This company should not be in business!
