This smelly, nose-picking, wig-wearing fake lawyer took some of my money when the settlement came in. He tricked me to think I was only supposed to get a certain amount, and then comes to find out I get a letter from the insurance company stating I was supposed to get $10,000 more.

He treats his clients bad and I heard through the grapevine from one of his annoying girlfriend's friend that he talked about my case to complete strangers. What happened to confidentiality. If you need a personal injury lawyer, do not go to him. He has had my case for over 6 years and nothing was done. My friend had the same case and went to another law firm and she had the same settlement as me under 1 year. His law office is a dump and I could not believe I trusted my cousin for this recommendation.

You can tell alot on how people treat each other. If he is nasty to me, he is probably nasty to everyone. I have already talked to other clients of his and all of them were unhappy with his crooked service. If you are smart, you will stay away from this lying fool.

An attorney's personal appearance and hygiene, as well as office housekeeping habits, are not valid proof of incompetency or of misconduct.  While he was not an attorney, look at Einstein.  He was a slob and lived in a mess.  However, our world has rarely seen greater genius or ethical practice.

Also, while no two cases, civil or criminal, are exactly the same, nor are the plaintIffs and responents always the same, with matching levels of workload.  That one case is settled quickly, and another takes six years, is not necessarily due to incompetence or misconduct.  A lot happens in settlements, not only verbally, but also in written correspondence, often by specially handled postal categories.  Delivery can be slow, as can a respondent's answering those corresponences.  If the plaintiff or the respondent are very resistent to settle, it can take a very long time of back-and-forth dialog, before parties reach an agreement..  Other factors can contribute to delay, like if the client has moved, or even went on vacation, and neglected to inform the attorney.

My point is that there are many variables that can impact the resolution of a case.  If you believe that you possess evidence of incompetency, malfeasance, or misfeasance, by all means, notify the appropriate licensing authority.  I am neither defending, nor condemning Attorney Resmini, and I have never met, nor corresponded, either verbally, nor in writing.  As such, I cannot judge his conduct or qualification.  Also, in all fairness, I cannot allow an online angry client's account to impact my impressions of that individual.

I had wayne as a lawyer and he did a good job. got me my money for my accident and neck injury.  Definitely didn't take 6 years like that woman reported, but we didn't have to go to court and maybe she had to.  Hes upfront and talks to you whenever you got a question.  I find it interesting she happened to know his girlfriend's friends - sounds like this lady had more of a personal problem (like maybe she was a former girlfriend) than an actual issue as to how he handled her case.  Anyway, I've still been referring people, no complaints and I would go back.

I'm not sure if this is a ripoff.

It is difficult to tell form your report if you have actually been ripped off. Personally injury lawyers ofter work on a contingent fee basis, which means they keep a percentage of the recovery. Let's say you had a 1/3 contingent fee and the settlement was $30K. The lawyer's fee would be $10K. Now if the lawyer lied and the settlment was actually $40K and he kept $20K, then you were ripped off. But you haven't posted those facts. Yes, your lawyer should not treat you rudely and should keep confidentiality. You should report such behavior to the state bar. But having a messy office isn't necessarily a sign of anything. As for the case dragging on for 6 years, that really depends on the the court's workload. 6 years sounds highly unusual, but the courts in your state might be backlogged.
