Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

A couple of months ago I bought some websites from a company owned by Chris Cobb (Yourbizwebsites). A person called Chris Buchanan called and said he was from a company affiliated with Chris Cobb and must have got my name from Chris Cobb's database. He offered me a training course for $US449. I was told that I was paying for 5 websites and training that was to be offered by Chris. Chris asked me if I had bought other website products whereby they sell them to you but don't offer any real support to make the websites a success. I said yes and he said he would ensure that he would help me and take me by the hand and learn how to effectively operate the websites he was selling. I paid for the product over the phone and also agreed to a fee of $US44 for web hosting every month. I thought I had made the right decision as he had assured me he was there for me to help me and make succeed with the websites. The compliance process should have been done straight away, but it took more than a week after I paid the money. Also the contract said that I had one 45 minute consultation, but Chris had said he was there to help me along the way. However the reality proved to be different. I tried emailing him over 10 times to arrange a consultation, but he kept postponing and saying he was busy etc. He told me to call him at certain times, but I could never get a hold of him when I did. He always had excuses (maybe legitimate), but he never tried hard enough to arrange something. He returned my call once but at 4 am in the morning my time, even though I had told him not to call me at this time. Maybe he was too busy to deal with me, but he should have told me this at the start before I wasted my money. I have probably made over 6 fruitless calls to the States at considerable cost to me. I am disappointed and did not realise it would be this difficult to deal with a legitimate web business training company.

I am writing this report because I do not want to say it is a scam, but I want to warn people to think twice before signing up with these people. They are really just after your money. They sell you false promises but when you need them and endeavor to contact them, they are not there for you. I have wasted 2 to 3 months of web hosting for web sites I have never been taught to use.

I called the manager Kyle, and he seemed reluctant to address my issues. He was nice, but did not want to seem to take ownership. He said he would arrange a session with me once I emailed him. I said ok. I emailed him twice, but never got a response. In the email I said I had changed my mind about the course and wanted my money back as I was fed up with being mucked around and was over it. He has not replied.

My aim is to get a full refund and have them pay for the web hosting I have been charged. I want people to be really careful before they give their money away to people who loosely engage in false promises and puffery to sell their not so good packages.
