Before hiring this company to redesign our website and create an online store for us, we spent time conversing with Doug Marks about what we wanted and needed, etc.  He assured us that they would make as many changes and revisions as necessary to get the website exactly as we wanted it.  That was the selling point for me because I know how many changes/revisions it can take to get it "just right"!!!  He said it wouldn't be done until we were 100% satisfied, etc.  (I still have the e-mail that was dated 1/27/11.)  On 1/28/11, we paid $3000 for a custom website.  Plus $50/month for their hosting plan (which is NOT optional and required even if your site isn't up and running!). 

After several months, they said they would need an additional $350 to do the flash/slideshow that we wanted, so we paid it. 

We waited MONTHS to get the layout done so that we could go live.  To date it has been 9 months and the store is still not up and running!  Not to mention, now they are telling us that they can't make anymore change/revisions unless we give them another $150...  If they decided to change their terms, they should have given us a warning BEFOREHAND!  So, now we have an incomplete site without a store that we paid for!!!  We simply can not afford to spend more money!

It is bad enough that they didn't offer an professional advice or help us with creating the site!  We were on our own to decide every little detail!  (We are NOT graphic designers or professional website developers, THEY ARE!) 

We had a site that was perfectly fine before we hired them, but we were convinced that they could create a more professional looking site with a better store layout.  We even had to go without a site for several months so that we could transfer all of the data from one site to the other!

They have worthless videos and no manual available for their software.  Their classes are inconvenient and go so fast that it is hard to learn anything.  You have to ask the same questions 5-6 times to get an answer and make the same requests at least 3 times to get it done...  Very POOR customer service and response time.

I have requested a complete and total refund, but of course they will not give me back my money.  I asked them to refund me for the store/e-commerce module that still isn't up and running, but of course they won't do that either....  I would suggest that anyone who is looking for a custom website, STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS POSSIBLE!!!  It isn't worth the time, money, aggrevation, etc.

Unfortunately, I was told by Ripoff Report that they NEVER delete a report, even if it has been resolved! 

So, I just want to clarify that after speaking to Shane at Website Forge earlier today, he has assured us that they would work with us(one-on-one) to get our e-commerce store operational.  That is a big sigh of relief for us, since it was the main reason for re-doing our website in the first place!

There have been a number of misunderstandings/miscommunications on both sides, but I think that both parties at least understand where the other is coming from.   That is a plus.  Sometimes it is nice just to talk to a person who will listen and explain things!  In today's busy world, that is RARE!

So, after months of going back and forth, we have finally been able to come to a mutually acceptable resolution and are looking forward to having an online store!!! 

Overall, we like the look of our site and the fact that you can access it from any computer to do your own updates, etc.  The site has a lot of great features.

Thank-you, Website Forge for coming through for us!

Shame on Ripoff Reports for not allowing to remove resolved complaints!

We are finally HAPPY to say that our issues with Website Forge have been resolved!

It was nice to talk to Shane, who was very reasonable and helpful.  He is even going to help us finally get the e-commerce portion of the site up and running!  YEAH! 

After much frustration, we are finally HAPPY to say that this company will go above and beyond to ensure that their customers are SATISFIED.

We are now HAPPY CUSTOMERS!!!  :)
